• Just had the bizzarest experience with a CSS pop-up text. I have a paragraph in a pop-up that uses the word “drugs” a couple times. The pop-up would NOT WORK at all until I changed the word drug to pharmaceutical. See the pop-up on this page–about half way down–click on “alternate to semagacestat.” https://www.theamazingagingmind.com/?p=1628
Anyone know why this happens? Does “drug” do something to the code?
    Thanks

  • I had a similar problem a long while ago in which WP would save a post, but without the changes/additions I had made. It reverted back to a previous version of the post until I changed some words. The words were not offensive, but I found that by adding a sentence at a time until I found the one that broke the ability to save I was able to work around the problem. Oddly, the word “from” was causing the problem.

The thread link below helped me understand why and might contain something useful for you. The word “from” makes sense given the description on this thread, but “drug” makes no sense at all. So maybe it won’t help you. . .

I figured out that every time I use a word that is also a tag, the issue comes up. That’s because I have a plugin that automatically creates internal links with tags that appear within a post. Argh!
