    Hi
Is there a plugin to show popular searches by users? then displayed somewhere on the page as tags.

    example,
    shampoo,432
    soaps,143
    shaving gel,343

Shows in order of popularity (numbers are not shown)

    Cheers

Example here, if tablepress recorded each search, then piped that data to this plugin. Great stuff

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m not aware of an existing solution to this, sorry. Your best chance probably is to use some custom JavaScript code that hooks into the search handling and sends the search term to the server, for storing/statistics.

it would also be pretty good idea to have for gathering search data. Something to add and dev. Tablepress should be the only solution. A few ideas

    Popular search
    Mysql Version for large tables
Faster backend or display minimal rows (have its own pagination to stop server overload)

Css editor with preview of tables in real time and css options for fast editing ;0)

    Hi,

at this time, I don’t have plans to gather the search data for statistics, as this, for example, opens questions regarding user data privacy. I would recommend to look into custom solution for this, if you want this for your site.

    As for the other suggestions:

    • A mySQL backend is a good idea, that is already on my list :-).
    • The faster backend (“Edit” screen) is almost finished and will ship with TablePress 2.0 later this summer!
    • The CSS preview also sounds nice! I’ll see if I can find a way for that ??

Thanks for all your feedback here!

    Regards,
    Tobias
