Populate 4.8’s Audio Widget

  • Is there a way to populate the WP 4.8 Audio Widget from a latest post in a category?

    That would be slick ??

    Sorry, no. There are no hooks where needed to pull that off. One could extend the WP_Widget_Media class and make their own “Latest Media” widget with adequate coding skills. That would make for a slick plugin ??

    Have you tried searching for existing plugins? While it would unlikely be using the new WP_Widget_Media, it may be providing the same functionality through the base WP_Widget.
