Populating Custom Fields from Postie

I have a custom field that is entered during the webGUI session that I would like to set via email when sending a post from Postie.

I have custom type “trip” which defines which “entry” (also custom type) the post belongs to.

Is this possible. I haven’t been able to find anything in the support links.
