My site is connected to my Mialchimp account and I have placed the code between the <head> togas, as instructed. But it is not showing up in the sidebar.

I am running WordPress 6.4.3, and my MC4WP plugin is version 4.9.11.

    Thank you.

The MC4WP plugins doesn’t work with code in the head. That code is only if you use embedded forms from Mailchimp, without our plugin.

If you use MC4WP you can create the form in your WordPress admin, and place it via a [mc4wp …] shortcode or with the Mailchimp widget.
    Please see https://www.mc4wp.com/kb/create-mailchimp-sign-up-form/

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!

Thank you for your helpful advice. I am now able to view the ad in the sidebar on the desktop. However, there are still some problems:

    • I am unable to get it to load in the sidebar with the mobile view
    • The “Thank You for Subscribing” and redirect to the confirmation landing page (double opt-in) are not working

    Hello,

Are you referring to the pop-up with the heading “Get the jump on the latest news & info for adult & youth hockey players!”? The code does not seem like one created using our plugin.

If there is another form you created using our plugin then please share the steps to test it.

Hello and thank you for your response. I worked on the form on the Mailchimp website, https://us7.admin.mailchimp.com/lists/designer

The form was was set to “Signup form” but I just changed it to “Signup thank you page”.

    Hello,

Please note that we are not MailChimp.com. We are developers of “MailChimp for WordPress” plugin. If you are using our plugin, you need to use our shortcode to add the form on your website.

Hello again. I understand that I must use the shortcode, which I did. I just don’t know why the double opt-in message does not appear.

What do I need to do to enable it?

    Hey @warrentab,

If you have used our shortcode, then please share a link and steps we can take to test that form.

    Hello,

I tested the form in your sidebar (created using our plugin). I got the “Double opt-in” email from MailChimp but in my spam folder. I have confirmed my email “[email protected]” which should be on your list.

    Hi, Harish:

I approeciate your help. I just tried signing up using a few different emails. Each time. the message appeared below the signup form instructing me to check my inbox for the confirmation email. Unfortunately nothing has been received after several minutes, whether in the inbox, spam/junk, or trash folders.

    Hi,

The title of your forum post mentioned a popup, but the form we are testing is in the sidebar. Are we talking about the same form?

Under MC4WP > Other, can you set it to “log everything” instead of only logging errors, and then test again and let me know what message is showing in the log for your test?

    Thanks for letting me know.

    Hi;

Yes, the form is in the sidebar but I was calling it a popup; sorry.

I have now changed the setting to log everything.

Now you have log everything turned on, can you please test again and let me know what message is showing in the log for your test?

Hello, Lap. The confirmation email seems to be working now, thank you. The only thing is that those emails are not making their way to my inbox so easily. I am investigating that further and will let you know.

Thank you again for your help with this.

The confirmation emails are sent by Mailchimp itself, not by our plugin. You may need to set up SPF and/or DKIM so that the email doesn’t go into spam. You can ask Mailchimp for support with this.
