    Hello! Thank you for creating this awesome plugin that I think needs a lot more attention and popularity. Keep on doing great things with it!

    I created a PopUp that has a Form and a Button. When the user enters his e-mail address, and clicks the Button below, it doesn’t lead to the URL I selected it to go to. It just re-opens the pop up.

    Thank you! Any help will be appreciated!

    Hello @groovyq,

    I appreciate your kind words!

    If you’re trying to interact with the campaign from the URL you shared, then you should ignore these hidden pages of FireBox campaigns. They aren’t intended to be used to view a campaign. You should instead navigate your site and view the popup or make it a draft and click the “Preview” button. Alternatively, enable “Test Mode” under Advanced tab within your FireBox campaign settings and you should be able to view in anywhere on your site for testing purposes.

    Furthermore, the URL requires a username/password combo and cannot be opened.

    Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Regards,
    Stergos

    Hello Stergos! Thank you for the quick reply.

    I appreciate your help with my concern, and clearing up some things up for me.

    The page I need help with is my staging site. Can you please check if the URL I provided again with this user/pass – https://imgur.com/HiLM6Pp Thanks again!

    Hello @groovyq,

    The popup in the URL looks like this but doesn’t include a campaign (also requires some coloring improvements):

    Did you resolve your issue or does the popup in question appear in another URL?

    Furthermore, you’re using the Page Slide mode which makes the popup appear by sliding down from above your page’s content as seen in your page. If you need to make the popup appear on top of your page, you should use the “Classic Popup” type, found in your campaign settings > Behavior > Campaign Mode.

    Hello Stergos! Thanks for the reply! I appreciate the help.

    Can you please check the URL link I provided above again, I just made some changes. The PopUp in question is Campaign ID 10583, https://imgur.com/zbAOoSe . I intentionally turned just that campaign on just so you can be able to identify why when the user enters his e-mail address, and clicks the Button below, it doesn’t lead to the URL I selected it to go to. It just re-opens the pop up. Sorry if I am not being clear what what I am trying to achieve.

    Appreciate your time and help Stergos!

    Hello @groovyq,

    You should set the redirect URL in the Form block > Submission > Select “Redirect user” under “Submission Action” and set the URL In “Redirect URL”.

    How did you set the redirect URL? Also, are the submissions stored in FireBox > Submissions?

    Wow, Thank you for the detailed explanation Stergos! I really appreciate it. Now it is working perfectly fine.

    I wasn’t setting up the entire form block to go from there, I was just selecting the individual form boxes. It was my mistake, the plugin is working smoothly.

    Just one more thing, on another campaign, when I select the Button –> On Click (Close Campaign) –> Current Campaign, it doesn’t close. https://imgur.com/Fl6uaLj

    I tried a few ways but it still doesn’t close when I click the button. I must be doing something wrong.

    Kind regards,
    Mihail

    Hello @groovyq,

    I’m glad it’s working!

    Regarding the on click setting, I assume you’re trying to make the “not now” button close the Popup when clicked. Please share the URL where the popup appears to take a look.

    Hello Stergos,

    Here’s the PopUp URL: https://mrpectus.com/firebox/woocommerce-new-visitor-sale/

    The “Get Five Free Chapters” button is working, but the “Not Now” doesn’t. When you click it it doesn’t close.

    Thank you!

    In addition I have two more questions if you don’t mind.

    1. I am confused why the PopUp appears like this on the Live page: https://imgur.com/30Bh6Sp

    When I designed it this way:?https://mrpectus.com/firebox/woocommerce-new-visitor-sale/

    Can you please check why the PopUp appears like this?

    2. The other campaign with URL: https://mrpectus.com/firebox/woocommerce-new-visitor-sale-2/ appears on load on every page, when I set the conditions to appear only at the Privacy Policy page. I actually don’t want this to appear at any page, only when a user clicks “Get Five Free Chapters” from this URL https://mrpectus.com/firebox/woocommerce-new-visitor-sale/. This campaign also appears unlike I created it. https://imgur.com/nfr8b0V

    I appreciate the support Stergos,

    Best regards,
    Mihail.

    I just want to update you what I did since posting the last post:

    I redesigned the Pop Up and now it looks a lot better.

    I have two things I want to ask if you don’t mind.

    1. https://imgur.com/2MQhP6n –> The red rectangle is an extra space that I want to get rid of when my Pop Up appears. It appears on mobile too.

    At the editor, there isn’t such extra free space. I would like to get rid of.

    2. When I select Get Five Free Chapters button, it successfully leads me to the next form where I need to put the email to download. However, the PopUp reappears: https://imgur.com/QYcUYGQ and I need to close it again, to access the next form. How do I get rid of the second PopUp unecessary appearance?

    Any help will be appreciated. Keep up the great work you’re doing with the plugins.

    Best regards,
    Mihail.

    Hello @groovyq,

    Here’s the PopUp URL: https://mrpectus.com/firebox/woocommerce-new-visitor-sale/

    The “Get Five Free Chapters” button is working, but the “Not Now” doesn’t. When you click it it doesn’t close.

    The popup’s “Not now” button works perfectly and closes the popup, I assume you resolved this issue.

    2.?The other campaign with URL:?https://mrpectus.com/firebox/woocommerce-new-visitor-sale-2/?appears on load on every page, when I set the conditions to appear only at the Privacy Policy page. I actually don’t want this to appear at any page, only when a user clicks?“Get Five Free Chapters”?from this URL?https://mrpectus.com/firebox/woocommerce-new-visitor-sale/. This campaign also appears unlike I created it.?https://imgur.com/nfr8b0V

    If the campaign appears on every page despite having set a Display Condition, this could be a caching issues. Please review your caching plugin and clear any cache. Furthermore, check your server for server-side such (OPCache) and clear it as well. If the issue persists, please file a ticket here and provide me with a campaign ID that should appear only on the Privacy Policy page and a temporary admin account.

    1. https://imgur.com/2MQhP6n –> The red rectangle is an extra space that I want to get rid of when my Pop Up appears. It appears on mobile too.

    At the editor, there isn’t such extra free space. I would like to get rid of.

    There appears to be some padding-top coming from the element with CSS Class “gb-inside-container”, I assume GeneratePress plugin, here’s the CSS that adds this padding-top:

    .gb-container-3978fd18 > .gb-inside-container {
    padding-top: 224px;
    padding-bottom: 0px;
    max-width: 1200px;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
    }

    2.?When I select?Get Five Free Chapters?button, it successfully leads me to the next form where I need to put the email to download. However, the PopUp reappears:?https://imgur.com/QYcUYGQ?and I need to close it again, to access the next form. How do I get rid of the second PopUp unecessary appearance?

    If this popup has the Display Condition as described above, then it might be a caching issue, so please read the above answer. However, if you want to make the popup appear to the user until they fill in the form, you must use the “FireBox – Submitted Form” Condition. This helps display a popup to users that have or haven’t submitted a form.

    Thanks for the detailed reply @stergosz

    I contacted my hosting support and they cleanded server-side such (OPCache), and the campaign that had set a Display Condition, doesn’t appear on every page now. This issue is resolved, it was a caching issue Thank you!

    Yes, the popup’s “Not now” button is working perfectly fine when it appears as a pop up and closes the popup. I also contacted GP about the top padding.

    So these issues are solved. I appreciate the support!

    The only remaining problem is this one:

    2. When I select Get Five Free Chapters button, it successfully leads me to the next form where I need to put the email to download. However, the PopUp reappears: https://imgur.com/QYcUYGQ and I need to close it again, to access the next form. How do I get rid of the second PopUp unecessary appearance?

    The caching doesn’t seem to be the problem here unfortunately. Let me explain this a bit further if you don’t mind:

    These are the conditions I set for the first PopUp: https://imgur.com/a/qFLwOjk. Despite the conditions being set to do not show campaign for X, after clicking Get Five Free Chapters, the next form the users need to enter their email to access their ebook chapters appear, as it should. But as soon as this is loaded, the first PopUp still reappears on top of the next form the users need to enter their email. I hope I explained this clearly.

    Again, thanks for the support and patience.

    Best regards,
    Mihail

    I’m glad it’s resolved and that it was a caching issue. Cache may be a pain until you find it’s the culprit ??

    As for the issue with the form, the Closing Behavior > “if the user closes the campaign” setting that’s set to “do not show the campaign again for 15 minutes” means that the popup won’t re-appear after it has been closed by the user. i.e. pressed the “X” button (close button) or pressed another button that closes the popup.

    Pressing the “Get Five Free Chapters” doesn’t close the popup, hence why the popup re-appears ??

    How Closing Behavior > “If the user closes the popup” works is by creating a cookie when the popup is closed for the defined period on the user’s browser which then lets FireBox know not to display the popup again for the set period.

    (@groovyq)

    Thanks for the quick reply Stergos!

    Oh, so that’s what causes this issue.

    “Pressing the “Get Five Free Chapters” doesn’t close the popup, hence why the popup re-appears” –> is there a way the popup to be closed when clicking “Get Five Free Chapters”, and directed to the URL?

    Or maybe any workaround so it achieves what I am looking to achieve, if possible?

    Thanks for the explanation ??

    @groovyq,

    Here’s how to both close and set the required cookie when the “Get Five Free Chapters” is clicked.

    Go into this button > On Click and set it to “Open URL” and clear the “URL” property. You’ll set the URL in the Javascript code below.

    Also go into this button > Advanced > Additional CSS Class(es) and add: fb-close-redirect

    Then go to Advanced > Custom Javascript and add:

    FireBox.onReady(function() {
    const campaign = FireBox.getInstance({fpf fb.id});
    document.addEventListener('click', function(e) {
    let btn = e.target.closest('.fb-close-redirect');
    if (!btn) {
    return;
    }

    e.preventDefault();

    campaign.close();

    document.cookie = "firebox_{fpf fb.id}=1; expires=" + new Date(Date.now() + 15 * 60 * 1000).toUTCString() + "; path=/; secure";

    window.location.href = 'https://google.com';

    });
    });

    This will close the popup, set the cookie expire in 15 minutes, and redirect to the URL you want it to.

    When you go back, the popup should be hidden ??
