    Hello.

It looks like the cookie from the plugin “PopupMaker” is set before the cookies are accepted.
How do I change that? I want the cookie to be set AFTER the notice has been accepted. Right now, the cookie is set when the Popup is beeing dismissed. Even though the Cookie notice has not been accepted in either way.
This is a site developed with the DIVI framework.

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers, Kai

    Hi @logan511973 Kai,

I just opened your URL and I don’t see any cookies before accepting the banner.

Could you check in incognito mode, without being logged in to the WordPress dashboard?

    Let me know!

    regards Aert

Hello and thanks for the quick reply.
The cookie is set when the Popup is being closed.
And that even when the Banner is not being accepted beforehand.

    Cheers,Kai

Hello, it’s me again. As this cookie is essential for this website to work correctly and as it is no tracking cookie and not sending data whatsoever, I believe I dont have to mention it in a cookie banner nor do I have to opt it in. But I have to mention it in my data ptivacy page, right?
    Correct me if I’m wrong.
    Cheers,Kai.

    Hi @logan511973,

I’ve also taken a look at your site. I guess that you mean the cookie called ‘pum-[hash]’? It seems to me as if this cookie can be categorized as functional because it stores a user preference (the dismissal of the notice) as a session cookie. Therefore it does not have to be blocked before consent is given, but you should indeed mention it in your Cookie Policy.

The built-in cookiescan should find this cookie in your browser and display it in the menu ‘used cookies’ in the Complianz wizard. If Complianz/cookiedatabase knows this cookie, the information will be filled in automatically. Otherwise you can fill the info yourself.

Good luck and if you have any further questions, feel free to ask!

    Kind regards,
    Leon
