    Hi,

I wonder if anyone else had this problem: I’m using Imagemapper to build an interactive image map, and I’d like to trigger a popup when clicking on an area.

The image map areas can link to a specific url, but if I enter “#popmake-1234”, the resulting url is https://siteaddress.com/pagename/#popmake-1234 and nothing happens.

If I enter a complete url like https://siteaddress.com/#popmake-1234, or the same as above, it doesn’t work either (neither does it when typing this in the browser’s address bar, by the way, but I guess this is by design).

Is there any way to make this work ? I’m feeling it’s just within grasp!
It’s a pity because even if Imagemapper is not maintained, it’s still a very popular plugin and practically the only free solution for doing what it does.

    Thanks for your help,

    RP

If it helps at all, the popups don’t work either with the Draw Attention image mapping plugin, which is more recent and very well maintained.

@erpol53 – Sorry for the delay, the issue sounds like the plugin is hijacking the click event of those links in their imagemap and likely trying to smoothscroll them based on the # urls.

If that is the case you would likely need to use a custom CSS selector in your popups click trigger to precisely target the correct element in the image map.

Hope that helps. If your issue is resolved please take a moment to rate and review the plugin or support.
