There’s nothing anyone here can do to help with this. This is the support forum for the self-hosted WordPress software which anyone can download and use on their own hosting.

You will need to contact the site owner and/or the company hosting it and ask them to remove your quote.

www.ads-software.com (this site you’re looking at right now) does not actually host any websites other than our own.

Instead, we create a piece of software, called WordPress, which anybody can download and use themselves, on their own hosting purchased from elsewhere.

Therefore, we cannot “remove” something from a WordPress site because we have no control over it. It’s a lot like asking Microsoft to edit some random Word document for you, on somebody else’s laptop. They don’t have that power, and neither do we.

You need to contact the actual owners of the site in question, or the people who are their webhosts, or their domain registrar, or something along those lines. We don’t control the use of the WordPress software.

may be I can ask Google to remove the search engine

@greenmaman – just do what Samuel advised you above.

This tool might help you figure out who the owners or the host or the domain registrar are – https://who.is/ – but if it’s a porn site, they might be anonymous.

Then… don’t worry about it. Does it really matter if someone/anyone quotes you?

Google will not remove the search engine, that’s how they make money. You can, most likely they won’t remove that pornographic website appearing from the results.

    How do they quote you?

    thanks jason I’ll see who.is

thanks Jason king i take one email thanks the website who.is

at most you can do is e-mail a request to the website owner. Does not mean the website owner has to remove anything.

Unless it is libel, illegal in the country the website’s servers are located in, there is nothing much you can do about it.

Miroslav Glavic ok but if they don’t withdraw their lies, I will publish all their data (with the tip of jason king I have access to all their data) and all their data will be delivered to spambots

I have enough visitors (between 1200 and 5000 per day) for their data back well in the search engines especially Google

in France we have a proverb wich say “revenge is a dish best served cold” = “la revanche est un plat qui se mange froid”

    That proverb is Klingon.

You mean the whois data? that is public data, you can’t really blackmail them with that. It’s like trying to blackmail Matt Mullenweg (co-founder of WordPress) with the address and telephone number on whois data of www.ads-software.com, I am sure the address/tel number isn’t his personal data. Just like this porn site, it is the company behind the website’s business address.

Since you have not linked to the website, or told us what information they posted, we can’t tell what it is.

Any porn site is allowed to mention you, it is called free speech.

Trying to blackmail them (which you admitted above) does not sit well with me.

Contact them, see if they respond.

OK, this is getting closed. Here’s why.

in France we have a proverb wich say “revenge is a dish best served cold” = “la revanche est un plat qui se mange froid”

Which is way and beyond these forums. No, I do not endorse pornographic sites quoting anyone. But I also don’t endorse the other talk either. These are WordPress support forums and not really about this.

Otto’s post really is on point.

Contact the hosting company, see if you can get that taken down. On that note I’m closing this topic.
