I need to display a series of paintings on a page. The portfolio grid enables this, but it crops each image to a square, thus showing only a portion of the painting. I’d like to be able to have each image be the same width, but a variable length so that the entire piece can be seen. Is there any way to do this? Thank you!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey,
It looks like the images you’re uploading are pretty small. I would suggest using larger images (at least 800px x 800px) this was the theme can properly output them.
    Hope that helps!

    Hi Hannah,
Thanks for your response. The images are all 750 px wide and then variable heights. Even when I used a very large image (3MB, which slowed the site), the grid cropped it to a square-shaped image that is almost like a large thumbnail. You can click on this “thumbnail” to see the full image, but I’d like to have the full thing displayed small in the grid and then the click would just display a larger version. So basically – I want the “thumbnail” images in the portfolio grid to be varying heights to let me display paintings that are rectangular.
    Best,
    Janice

So the premium theme has the option to display different aspect ratios in a gallery, but the free theme doesn’t quite have the flexibility. A plugin like this may work well for you: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/robo-gallery/

Hannah, thank you! Looks like robo gallery is working for me. I really appreciate the help.
