Portfolio Issues with New WordPress 4.5.3

I have 3 websites – 2 were automatically updated to 4.5.3 https://www.sensationalevents.com/galleries-services/ and https://www.sedonaweddingplanner.com/gallery-services/. Once the update took place my Portfolio galleries did not function as it did before. I have categories within the portfolio and when you click on it the images associated with that category is shown.

On my 3rd website https://sensationalweddings.com/gallery-services/ the site did not automatically update and is still currently running WordPress 4.4.4 and the gallery functions work and separate according to categories.

I am updating all my websites with new event images and I really need this function to work properly. How can I get my portfolio to work? Is there a work around or do I need to switch to another photo gallery plug in?
