• I’m trying to make a fairly straightforward photography website using the Weston theme but I’m having trouble getting the portfolio element to display the way I want.

One of the layout options is “masonry without gutter” but whenever I choose that option it displays each project as a landscape image within a square, so there’s a bunch of empty space below each image, and it doesn’t vary the size of these squares as you’d expect in a masonry layout. If I set the portfolio to display as “rows without gutter” and landscape orientation instead of square, then they display as landscapes with no empty space.

Ideally I would like one large project image in portrait on one side, with two smaller landscape ones on the other and to repeat this pattern each 3 projects. That being said I’d also be happy with a more standard masonry layout but the masonry option isn’t working.

Would there be a way to customize the layout with some relatively simple CSS code? This is my first time trying ot build a website so I’m pretty lost and know next to no CSS.

Thanks in advance for any help!
