• Is it possible to have portfolio sub-categories for portfolio grid pages? I’ll use an example to show what I’m trying to accomplish:

Let’s say I have a portfolio called “Work samples” which houses two sub-portfolios called “Photos” and “Other”. The main page has a portfolio carousel for “Work Samples” (thus it would show Photos and Other as its two slides). When a user click on Photos, i’d like him to have an option of selecting further “portfolios” which are classified as Photos (say, “Landscape” and “Portrait”). When clicking on “Landscape”, the user would then see all the “Landscape” photos.

I’ve tried assigning “Parent” categories to the portfolios, but that doesn’t seem to have worked, as the “Work Samples” carousel keeps capturing the “Landscape” and “Portrait” links as well.

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks.

In other words, I think i need a “Portoflio Grid” to link to another “Portfolio Grid”..

This isn’t really possible with the set up built into virtue. It sounds like all you want though it a page with two image links each pointing to portfolio pages?

That would be easy enough to just do in the page content area, by making a two column layout and adding an photo link in each?

Here is some docs on the portfolio grid page

    Hope that helps,

Hi. I used to be very happy with your older version. I used it with great success on one of our sites.

Now though, after installing the new ver. of Virtue on our site at https://mibuministry.org/ I can’t really get the menus to work right at all. I have tried activating the main, secondary, footer and topbar menus on the MENU functions page, but only the footer menu is showing up.

Is there some option to select that I’m missing?

    Hey Jackflash101

I’m seeing your menus? Did you resolve this issue?

I am on version 1.8.1 and after not working on the site for about 45 days I logged in and noticed that the Portfolio menu in the admin console is missing. The front-end page still seems to be pulling the images and content but I am no longer able to access anything Portfolio on the backend.

    Thoughts?

do you have the virtue toolkit enabled?

Have you disabled plugins to see if one might be overriding the backend?
