Portfolio not loading but all the others are … ?

    I reverted the permalinks to default. The following link:

    https://www.tonemgmt.com/?p=500

    Directs to:

    https://www.tonemgmt.com/?portfolio=arabrot

    still a 404 error

    Also preview get’s a 404 error too.

    Will adding another new post also cause the new one to go to a 404 page, or does it work then?

    And are you using a plugin for your portfolio, if so, which one ?

    I added a new portfolio, also get a 404.

    I’m unfortunately unfamiliar with that theme.

    Have you checked if your server logs are showing any kind of errors when you try to access the pages that aren’t working? (I must admit I’m grasping a little at straws at this point as there’s no clear indication of why these posts would not be working).

    If you feel adventurous and don’t mind a bit of “heavy debugging” on the matter, you could install the https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/debug-bar/ plugin.
    When it is running, try going to one of the pages that are failing, and then go to “Debug” in the top right corner of your screen. You should be able to get a tab list on the left hand of your screen. The most interesting pieces here would probably be the Request and WP Query tabs.

    Hey thanks for the suggestion. I installed it then tried to go to the portfolio page but it is still showing 404 error and there is no option on the top right?

    If you’re not seeing the option in the top right corner, is your theme calling wp_header() and wp_footer() like it should?

    Alternatively, is it declaring admin_bar( false ) anywhere in the functions.php file?

    Because it should be there, and the page should still 404, but you should be able to look into what it is trying to look for, which helps in identifying and locating the cause of your problems.

    – Your currently used “xone” theme is not one of the supported themes from https://www.ads-software.com/themes/:
    https://www.ads-software.com/themes/search/xone/

    – Please contact the developer directly for support with your question. You’ll be more likely to find a good answer from them, for they have the access to its code. Forum volunteers are not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme is not working properly.
