Portfolio not showing up

  • Hi, I’m quite newbie here so sorry if I ask some dumb question.

    I bought a theme recently and I’m having troubles setting up the portfolio page when I try to make my own version of the website. If I follow the theme template and install different xml files then all works fine, but when I try to create my own version, I don’t get anything. The pictures with the nice fade effect don’t show up.

    This is what I do:

    I create what it will be the portfolio page. Empty. I just setup the Template option as Portfolio Template.

    Go to my Theme Options -> Portfolio Page -> I select the page that will be the portfolio. i check Toggle Display Categories, Crop Thumbnails, and Toggle Ajaxed Pagination.

    Then I go to the Portfolio option and I add a new item. Let say “Test”. This new item won’t show up.

    I have been searching but I couldn’t find any help.

    OK, So I think I finally found the problem. It looks like the Portfolio page has to always has the URL /Portfolio. Something else and it won’t work. That’s pretty weird to me because I’m already selecting the page that will be the portfolio from the Theme Options. Anyway, that’s the way I managed to make it work.
