Portfolio on more than one page

    This plugin has been great so far! I needed something that would allow me to have different albums on my photography page and it does just this. BUT, I am struggling to figure out how to have a portfolio on more than one page. So I need one portfolio for photography, one for design and one for case studies – each with the separate galleries within each portfolio. Any tips? Thanks

  • Hey there,
    It sounds like you want to categorize your portfolio. You can create a category “Photography” and a category “Case Studies” and set the correct category for each of your portfolio entries. Then just link people to your categories. Does that make sense?

    Hi there, Thanks for getting back to me. So I have separate categories within each section so:

    Photography is it’s own page which has: Food, Weddings, Portraits, Pets, etc
    Then Case Studies needs it’s own page which has: Company name 1, Company 2, etc
    Design: Commissions, Personal, etc

    So each page has categories within it, I need to be able to assign a portfolio to more than one page.

    Each category can have multiple galleries. So, case study category can have a gallery for Company #1, Company #2, and Company #18. It’ll all live under “site.com/portfolio/category/case-studies”.

    You don’t need to assign the portfolio to more than 1 page – you need to use the Category URLs instead of assigning the portfolio somewhere. Leverage the categories that are already built in.

    The idea behind the portfolio structure is exactly like a WordPress blog. You don’t need “multiple blogs” to blog about different things – you can have a single blog and categories.
