I contacted you about a month ago when I was trying to figure out what to do about updating an old Themezilla theme. But then, instead of installing your plugin with a new non-Themezilla theme, the client bought a new Themezilla theme. I was very surprised to see your plugin was automatically installed with the new Themezilla theme!

It works fine and is good to know we could switch to another type of theme if we wanted to, but for now everything is working pretty well.

    My question is:
Is there a way to create an automatic portfolio type portfolio post list? For instance we have a “client” portfolio type. It would be great to have a menu that listed all the clients without having to manually list them one at a time. Is there a way to do this that you know of?

    Thanks!

What is the new theme that is being used?

Sorry, that was a bit of a stupid question on my part as the resulting answer doesn’t impact my response. You can add portfolio-types to menus (if not visible in the menu page, expand the screen options in the upper right corner and check the box to make them appear in the menu page). Unfortunately, I do not know of a way to have new portfolio types automatically added to a menu. There may be a plugin that allows for this or you could add a custom function to output the menu where you’d like it.

Does the menu then list the portfolio posts?

I see that it does list the portfolio posts but they are all mixed together. I guess separating them will be easier than making a bunch of custom links. It would be nice if they came separated somehow. I wonder if there’s a plugin like that?

There may be, but off the top of my head, I cannot make a recommendation for a plugin.
