Portfolio seems to be missing?
-
Hi, I’m brand new to WordPress, and I’m trying to help my son set up a website for his artwork. We’re trying to use Sketch expressly for the built-in portfolio feature, but the instructions on the theme information page don’t match up with my dashboard options. It seems like Sketch was made for WordPress.com, and we’re using www.ads-software.com. I’ve been through the documentation several times now, searched this forum, and have come up with nothing and am at my wit’s end. I can’t even say more about the problem because the portfolio and any way to edit or add to it are simply absent. I know it isn’t much to go on, but I’d really appreciate some help with this.
Oh, and another weird thing is that the home page currently has a menu, but it doesn’t exist under the menus customisation section. However, if I add a page, it will appear in the seemingly non-existent-but-clearly-actually-existent menu. This isn’t the main issue, though, but any light that can be shed would still be useful.
I also can’t seem to find a way to disable the sidebar. I’ve read several different ways to do this, they just don’t seem to be applicable to my dashboard.
Now, it seems that a different theme (Crio) I tried in the meantime has supplanted my son’s actual content with its own generic content.
Again, any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
