Position In Header

Child Theme: Twenty Twelve. I have struggled to place these in the header however following this guidance https://coolestguidesontheplanet.com/adding-extra-widget-area-wordpress-twenty-twelve/ I managed to create a header widget and add the easy social icons. But they are on the left hand side above the existing site-image. How do I place the widget on the right hand side.
