position in relation to logged in wordpress bar

im using slicknav as a menu bar even on desktop and tablets.
is there a way to stop the wordpress dashboard bar for logged in users from covering over the slicknav bar? maybe shunting the slicknav bar down by 50px when someone is viewing the site logged into wordpress?
