Position of shownavigationcontrol & shownavigator

It took me a bit of time to figure out how to make this work, but once I saw the description on how to use MS Deep Zoom I’m all set … and it works great.My question: Is there a way to place navigationcontrol and/or the navigator OUTSIDE of the display window? Ideally, they might be stacked left/right – outside of the black box.
Is this possible?
