    This was not possible in previous versions, but I just added support for this in Modal Dialog 3.1. Make sure you are using colorbox in the General Settings, then select User-Specified for the Dialog position and specify percentages for the bottom and right fields that will appear (e.g. 10%).

    Please confirm that this works as expected.

    I also think it would be very useful if there was an option to choose the animation type for the modal appearing and disappearing, e.g. fade in/out, slide in/out etc.

    I am limited by the functionality that is offered by the lightbox plugins that I am using. Both of them offer the following transitions: Elastic, Fade and None.

    I have added these options to the plugin to be able to select these transitions in the latest version of Modal Dialog (3.1.1).
