• I recently noticed that I could not access the Astra Theme Customizer. I installed the WordPress Health check plugin (Health Check & Troubleshooting) to see if I could figure out what was wrong. By carefully disabling each plugin I found that the only one that appears to be stopping the Astra Customizer working is the Gutenberg plugin.

I believe I have everything up to date and am using the lastest version of wordpress etc. I can only assume that this is due to some sort of recent update which has caused the problem as I have not had this issues before and have had both the Astra Theme and the Gutenberg plugin installed since I started the site.

    Any help much appreciated.

  • I can confirm this: I’m using the latest Astra and Gutenberg versions.
After the recent Gutenberg update (yesterday?), the Customizer was rendered useless for me:
It was still loading and looking fine but all links in the left menu didn’t do anything. Also the Live-Area was looking good, but registered no clicks.

After deactivating Gutenberg everything was working again.

Another confirmation of this issue from me. I use both Astra and Gutenberg. After the recent Gutenberg update, the customizer stops working.

Suggesting anyone for using a backdated version wouldn’t be a wise opinion, but you can do it at your own risk. I’ve checked the immediate previous version (10.7.0), but the problem was not solved. The version before that (10.6.2 to be exact) doesn’t affect the customizer.

Versions 10.7.0 and 10.7.1 come with two different “PostCSS Plugins Preset” security patches. Using 10.6.2 could solve the customizer problem before they fix it.
