  • not sure if this is intentional but if you are trying to use the actual code you need to use backticks (the key above tab and next to the number 1)

the <a href> code goes here
see the lines after the text box

Duh – I see now! Thanks for pointing that out!

The code that was generated looked like this –

    <a href="https://www.petco.com" target="self">https://www.petco.com</a>

    instead of

    <a href="https://www.petco.com" target="_self">https://www.petco.com</a>

the resulting website address then displayed as
    <a href="https://www.petco.com" target="_self">https://www.petco.com</a> instead of https://www.petco.com

    Hi penTechCoach,

Are you using the most recent version of The Events Calendar, 3.6.1? I believe that version corrected the issue you’re having ??

    Cheers,

Thanks so much – just got back to that site – have 4 in progress.

It works properly now. I have 2 more questions – should I start a new thread for each?

    If not, here they are

    1. Is there a way for the organizer’s email address to be a clickable mailto field? Did I miss a setting?

    2. When I select a specific event the new page no longer shows any of my widgets in the right column and at the bottom of the page. Is it possible to format the page to resemble the other pages on the site?

    The work-in-progress is https://www.forgottenfelinesny.com

Thanks so much. This is a great plug-in.

    Hi penTechCoach,

Generally the best thing is to start new threads, but I can answer these real quick. I also wanted to let you know that we have a non-profit program that provides free .zip files of our premium plugins (like Events Calendar PRO) to certified 501(c)3 organizations. It doesn’t come with a license or support, but you do get all the premium features. Check out the details here.

    1. You’re not missing a setting- at this time, that field cannot be made a clickable mailto field. At least, not without some customizing. It’s a good idea though! We’d love to have you submit it on our UserVoice forum. That allows other users to vote for it and gets it on our radar for future builds.

    2. This might be due to your theme, or possibly to the page template you’re using. Under Events –> Settings –> Display, try selecting a different Events Template and see if that fixes the issue for you. If not, it’s likely caused (at least in part) by your theme. In that case you might try getting in touch with your theme’s developer to see if they can help out.

    Best,
    Leah
