Possible errors to sanitize

I’ve received a report from Google’s Webmaster Console that there are several validation issues, some of our pages are very old (2000 – 2007) and have some nasty markup added by our old custom CMS.
I’m not sure if it worth it, but I thought I report some issues, so they can maybe added to the Sanitizer classes I found in the sourcecode, hopefully so others can reap the benefits too.
- align and width set as attributes in div
- font tag
- table tags with width set
- a href target set to “_new”
Also, maybe it’s possible to have a fallback for for missing images?
