    Hi Everyone!

I could use a little help here.

I use The Events Calendar and Tickets Plus by modern tribe, and MailChimp. Now as many of you know these are two VERY popular plugins. But would you believe I can’t find a way for my event attendees to update to my MailChimp list? I mean, there must be a solution out there?

MC4WP says “If there is no official integration then the plugin can be extended using a simple programming interface.” for any plugin.

Now, The Events Calendar uses Woocommerce, and I can find a half-dozen ways to add the customer to the MailChimp, but not the event attendees. Let me describe the integration I need:

When someone buys more than one ticket, they have to add attendees, and then the Woocommerce customer pays the bill. I need the attendees to be added to the MailChimp list. The plugin gathers all the information I need during the sale or registration, and sends each attendee an email with their information and the event name. So it doesn’t seem like a quantum leap here. Here’s a picture for aa thousand words:

Ticket Purchased and Attendees added > attendee name + email + event name + event date > Mailchimp list with event name as tag.

    Can someone help me out?

    Bill

Our plugin also doesn’t have such an integration.

You can create feature request for this here:
    https://github.com/ibericode/mailchimp-for-wordpress/issues

If/when we can actually implement such a feature I can’t say.

Thank you for the response. Please help clear up some confusion. Your site says,

“If there is no official integration then the plugin can be extended using a simple programming interface…”

Would that not be applicable to all plugins?

If not, would you offer to do custom work?

The integrations are all made to send in just 1 email, not a whole list of emails as in this case. Especially in the current GDPR climate it’s unusual to send in a list of emails that aren’t specifically opt-in.

E.g. https://kb.mc4wp.com/add-sign-checkbox-custom-form/ is one way that our plugin can integrate with any form on MailChimp and send in 1 email once that form is submitted to your site.

We have a number of code snippets here: https://github.com/ibericode/mc4wp-snippets/tree/master/ but there is nothing in there that is specifically relevant to your situation.

I don’t think anyone else has ever requested this feature so far so we are limited in how much of our resources we can throw at this. With the code snippet examples above, maybe a programmer that you can hire can make it work with the Usersync addon on something like that. I can’t say for sure. We do not offer custom code like that, we recommend you look on a site like Codeable io or Upwork to find a competent developer.

If you have any questions, please let me know!
