    hello –

    i originally installed wooCommerce on a development site with the domain name (dot)dev.
    next i moved it over to our production server with a temporary SUBDOMAIN name: dev(dot)mydomain(dot)com.

    and i included this is in my wp-config.php file:

    define('WP_HOME','https://dev.mydomain.com');
    define('WP_SITEURL','https://dev.mydomain.com');

    but now i notice that woocommerce ignores the subdomain name. a good example is the message:

    An important update is required for WooCommerce
    An important security update for WooCommerce has been released. It is recommended that you update as quickly as possible.

    when I hover over the “See available updates” button, I do not see the subdomain, only the primary domain.

    i am not sure if this is an actual issue or problem, but thought i should ask anyway.

    when i ultimately migrate the site from:
    dev(dot)mydomain(dot)com
    to:
    mydomain(dot)com
    the problem will most likely disappear.

    Hi @edwardsmark,

    when I hover over the “See available updates” button, I do not see the subdomain, only the primary domain.

    Thank you for bringing this to our attention! Can you share a screenshot showing the link in this stance? Can you also share a screenshot of your general settings in WordPress and a screenshot of what shows as the URL in your?System Status Report,?which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report?

    Finally, what happens when you click on the link? Does it take you to a wrong page, does it take you to the right page? Does it redirect?

    Which WordPress and WooCommerce version are you using? I’d like to also test this on a couple of my test sites where I have WooCommerce installed on subdomains to learn more.

    Thanks!

    No worries! We’re all humans! Right?

    i will continue to investigate & report back.

    Please, keep us posted! I’ll mark this one as resolved for now, but if you find out it is indeed WooCommerce’s fault, simply reply, and we’ll continue helping you troubleshoot and fix it.

    Cheers!

    ahh well apparently some of us may be more human than others… while a few of us are more neanderthal.
    the problem was entirely on my end, please disregard.
