    Greetings,

I’ve been using this plugin for quite sometime. But I recently ran into a very troubling issue: Version 2.0.1 BROKE ALL MY UPDATES!?!

So, I went to a couple of sites to do my updates and ran into issues wherein I either did not have “permissions” to update (which I do) OR the updates were simply NOT showing.

I noticed that this was only happening on sites which had White Label CMS installed. Updates WERE showing on sites which did NOT have White Label CMS installed.

So I deactivated White Label CMS and …whalla up comes a TON of updates which I would NOT have seen had I not deactivated Version 2.0.1 of White Label CMS.

    ..seriously? That is so DANGEROUS!

Did I miss some notice of this bug?

    …please advise.

Update: So I see that this issue was addressed in the Updated Version of White Label CMS (Version 2.0.2.1). But I wouldn’t have known had I not stopped to investigate.

    …yikes!

    Hi Preston,

I have sent you an email about this.

    Thanks

Thanks Preston. I had the same issue as you.

I had no idea why some of my +60 WordPress installs would no longer recognise plugin updates. I was trying everything to FORCE updates to be recoginised… lots of wasted hours. Just like you, when I deactivated Version 2.0.1 of White Label CMS all plugin updates started to show up again.

I’m just worried for all the people out there that continue to have no idea about this “FIX”… especially with WordPress 5.0 coming out and the massive Gutenberg editor impact.

Rant over… I’m just glad I found this support post.
    Now back to updating plugins.

Since around WordPress 4.8.8 I have had the same issue with many sites I maintain for clients.

White Label CMS 2.0.1 was causing WordPress core and plugin update notifications to not show in WP Admin.

    – Plugins ‘Update Available’ tab/link is not visible
    – Get Version X.X is not showing at bottom right of WP Admin
    – Dashboard > Updates shows no available updates

After deactivating White Label CMS 2.0.1, all updates are available.

Version White Label CMS 2.1.1 seems to work as expected, but I was unable to update anything until the previous version was deactivated.
