Thank you so much for such an awesome plugin! I’m very much looking forward to using it!

Unfortunately, I think I may have found a possible plugin conflict with Events Manager and I’m not sure how to fix it.

I was getting a 500 error when trying to create any ad and I narrowed it down to the Events Manager plugin.

I am receiving this error under Support whether or not the plugin is activated:

Possible conflict between jQueryUI library, used by Advanced Ads and other libraries (probably Twitter Bootstrap). This might lead to misfortunate formats in forms, but should not damage features.

And this error in the debug log:

PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function sanitize_content() on a non-object in /…/wp-content/plugins/advanced-ads/classes/ad.php on line 459

Not sure if you can help, but I will post in Events Manager forum as well. ??

    Thank you so much!

Ok, so, strangely enough, if I keep the Events Manager plugin deactivated while creating ads, the ads are created and show up fine when the plugin is reactivated.

The conflict only seems to keep new ads from being created while the plugin is activated, but don’t quote me on that…

    Hi JM,

thank you for your detailed bug report!

I will check it on my test environment and if I am positive that once I find the connection, the fix will be easy.

    Thanks
    Thomas

    Hi JM,

I installed https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/events-manager/, but there wasn’t a problem when the plugin was activated. Maybe I need to set it up completely, but unfortunately don’t have the time to do this on a hunch.

I will, however, use the error message you provided above and apply a workaround, so that this does not break.

Thanks for making me aware of this!
