    Hi,

I activated the new version (1.1.118.0) and the Site Kit dashboard and its settings just gave me a blank white screen.

I tried using the Health Check plugin to see if it worked on a default theme with no other plugins except for Site Kit activated, and the white screen remained.

Rolled Site Kit back to version 1.1.116.0 and it all fired up as normal.

Any chance of a fix, please?

Hi @deeveearr, thanks for opening a support topic with us. Sorry to hear you are having troubles accessing the settings screen on the newest version of the plugin. To look into this further for you, please can you share the following:

    1. Your?Site Health information?and we can investigate this further. You can?use this form?to share privately if preferred.
    2. Do you encounter the same when trying from an?Incognito browser window?
    3. Do you see any console errors when seeing the white screen?

In the meantime I will perform some testing of my own to see if I can replicate this on one of our sites using 1.118.0. Let me know if you have any questions on the above information.

    Hi @adamdunnage

    1. I tried to submit the Site Health information privately, but the Google Forms instance was not having any of it. I’d suggest switching over to something else.
    2. Exactly the same from an incognito window.
    3. No, no console errors.
    4. Something else that might be of interest – when rolling back to the previous version, the ‘Welcome to site kit’ blurb is followed by a green ‘go to settings’ button. – This green go to settings button does not work, and you need to go in through the Site Kit dashboard.

@deeveearr Thanks for providing the information so promptly. With regards to your issues submitting your site health information via the form, could you explain what the issue is here? You could also share this information here but I understand if you do not wish to do so and would prefer to privately.

Thanks for the added information also. Would it be possible for you to share a recording of these steps you are taking when switching between versions and showing exactly what you see? You can use a service such as Loom to record and share the video URL with us here.

So far in my testing I have been unable to replicate this but I will continue to run some checks. The site health information would help with this also.

    Hi @adamdunnage

The problem with submitting a Google form (or at least this version) is that it insists that you must have a gmail address.

Ideally, it shouldn’t demand for an email address, but leave a space where you can add it if needed.

@deeveearr With regards to the private Google form, you do not need a gmail address to complete and submit this. You can save your form answers if you are logged in with such an account but you shouldn’t have any issues submitting the form without one.

Could you please try this and confirm?

No, the form is insisting that I use a gmail account to submit the form, rather than a personal email address via my hosting provider that this thread was started with.

The only option I can see is the option to ‘switch account’ in between gmail addresses.

@deeveearr Would you be able to share a recording of this experience as this should not be the case. I have tested this myself without a gmail account with no issue.

If you could share this recording then I can advise further.

All sorted now @adamdunnage – I’m using a different analytics plugin.

@deeveearr Thanks for confirming and sorry to hear that you have switched to use another plugin. If you do however change your mind and wish to troubleshoot Site Kit further then please do get back in touch and we will be happy to help.
