• A potential client is starting a non-profit for female artists and would like a new site to have membership capabilities (where artists can upload personal portfolios), online and offline classes, and a store (similar to Zazzle where members can upload their own artwork and place it on products for sale). I’ve built two sites with Woocommerce functionality, but I’m struggling with how to approach this. I honestly don’t know if WordPress (or BuddyPress?) is a good fit for a site with all these functionalities. What do you think? Anything I should research? Would greatly appreciate any advice.

  • Hello!

I’ve been investigating WPLMS recently which is a learning management system – it may be worth a look with WooCommerce added to enable the other features you want? (It is compatible with WooCommerce).

May not be much, but you could play around with “Membership” new user default role (which can post) and then play around with the front-end post logic so that you can eventually mess with author-archive (where you’d display their collection/art).

Hope that inspires something awesome, good luck!
