    Hi,
I started my blog last year and have just mainly concentrated on building up content, paying no real attention to anything else.

Recently I read a post somewhere about permalinks. Currently my permalinks are numeric (not so pretty) and I was told it would be best to change them to day and name or month and name.

My blog has been going for about 3 months and I have 70 posts/pages. Is it worthwhile doing this? And if it is worthwhile, is there any danger in changing the format? Im just a bit worried as I really dont have any idea about programming this stuff.

    Many thanks,
    REGillett

It’s easy to do this these days. Just change them in the settings page. All the visitors that use old links will be redirected to the knew ones. Google will also index your new links without any problem.

I did that several months ago on my site and didn’t have any problems.

    Thanks toocrazy1!

I just did it and it worked without a hitch. Thanks for posting else I wouldn`t have been game enough to try it haha.

    Regards,
    REGillett
