Just wondering if it’s possible to hide theme default meta boxes from editor user role in the backend. My theme (the7) has meta boxes like ‘side options’ ‘page header options’ ‘footer options’, etc…

I don’t see it in the default adminimize settings where I can hide these areas. Wondering if anyone can help?

    Thanks for your time.

Yes, that’s possible. But it is not possible for Adminimize to get the IDs from all meta boxes, then you should add this IDs, selectors via custom options. You find information about this in the FAQ on this plugin repository or also here in the wiki.

Thanks for the reply Frank. I used Firefox Firebug and found the the meta box ids but when entering them I still see the meta box for that user role. For example: I added this custom entry to the “Write options – Page” in adminimize.

Left side: default sidebar meta box
    Right side: dt_page_box-sidebar

Then checked enabled the new custom entry for that user role.

Am I doing something wrong. My theme is the7.

    Thanks for your time.
