Possible to make only specific footnotes expand on desktop like mobile (not all)

    Hello,

    Thank you for this lovely plugin! I do know that in the settings you are able to globally choose for Desktop footnotes to expand like Mobile. I was wondering if it’s at all possible with a custom class to have only specific footnotes expand on Desktop, but the default to still be the pop-up?

    Also, I was wondering if you know whether the pop-up versions are screen-reader accessible?

    Hi @emilymoran84 ,

    There’s not a native way in the plugin to mix and match the styles, but the JavaScript checks for whether an element with a class of modern-footnotes-footnote has the class modern-footnotes-footnote--expands-on-desktop to determine if it should expand like mobile. So, if you were able to add this class to certain footnotes in another way outside of the plugin, you could change the behavior of certain footnotes.

    The popup versions should be screen reader accessible. We had some discussions at https://github.com/seankwilliams/modern-footnotes/issues/12 around this.
