• Just wondering if there is a shortcode to prefill in any of the fields?

    For example: [mortgagecalculator totalamountfield=”325000″]

So then the calculator will load on the page with this the Mortgage Amount field pre-filled to $325,000 rather than the user having to copy it over. We could even do the same for the down-payment field and default it to $16,250 or 5%.

It just looks like all available shortcodes are not fully documented so I figured I would check.

  • I have considered this issue.

It would be relatively easy to add a default value setting for each field through the admin page. This would be fine for generic settings. It would be feasible to add shortcode attributes as well, although calculating the down payment from a percentage would require some not insignificant re-engineering.

I think the greater utility would be to prepopulate the total amount and down payment based on the currently viewed property. I have thought up a few of approaches to solving this problem, but none of them are satisfactory.

    Hello
Is it possible to use shortcode to auto fill the amount of the home?

See the plugin home page for shortcode attributes.
