    Hi,

I’m trying use your plugin to add a sidebar to the custom post type “resources”, but only when showing the single view. However, when I select page templates, the dropdown doesn’t show that template, and the search does not return it.

Is this not intended with this plugin?

Guess I should add that I already tried adding “resources” directly from the “select content type” list, then checked “Automatically add new children of a selected ancestor”. Singular Exposure. Merge with “Sidebar widgets”. When I then go to the Appearance/Widgets screen to edit the sidebar, it is not available to edit.
    Thx.

Turns out that it was some error show in the list of sidebars of the same name that were in draft. Unfortunately don’t have the exact wording, but were listed in red with something about updating the display host. I deleted them and was able to add the resources sidebar.

Thank you for reporting this, and good to know that you got it solved.

The error message “Please update host sidebar” indicated that the sidebar you were trying to merge with/replace did not exist.
This usually happens if you switch theme, and the new theme doesn’t have a similar sidebar. It can also happen if the host sidebar was another content aware sidebar that has been deleted (or set to draft).
