• Hello!

I would like to show a grid layout with 1:1 ratio images, even if the uploaded images are not square, and that they see the full size rectangular image when opening the image in the lightbox (similar to Instagram). Is this possible?

Many thanks in advance for your reply.

    Cheers,
    Vibeke

    Hello @vibeque,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Please go to your WordPress dashboard > Final Tiles Gallery > edit your gallery > Images > above the added images you can see a section where you can set an image size > set the image size you need (for example ‘large (1024×1024)’) > Save gallery.

To set the image size in the lightbox go to your gallery > Links & Ligthbox > Image size for lightbox > set there the size you need > Save gallery.

    Hope this helps!

    Warm regards,

    Beatrice.

    Hi Beatrice,

Thank you so much for your reply. I tried this, but in the main grid view on the frontend the images still show with the original aspect ratio.

Nevertheless if see that whe I edit each image (after adding them to the gallery) and choose the thumbnail size 150×150 from the dropdown under the picture there, then it works. I’ll need the thumbnails bigger than 150px, so I’ll was thinking to try to set the thumbnails to a larger size for the gallery section of the website (using regenerate thumbnails…).

If you have any better suggestion or input on this, let me know ?? Thank you!

    Cheers,
    Vibeke
