    Hi,
I am trsting several plugins, either if I should use them or – maybe – code my own solution. USP could be perfect for my task. But I need to do some modifications. Maybe you can tell me (without specifying too many details) if I should try to use USP.

    1) All modification should be save on updates, so I can only use hooks, but not write in directly into the plugin. (That is the basic of everything.)

    2) I would like to display the results in “custom post types” rather then in posts.

    3) I need more fields I can create on my own. Now I see only one field that an can use freely. I would need three or four of them.

    4) I need at least one date-field and I want to sort the output in ASC, using tat date-field.

Than you fpr some ideas about if or if not these goals are possible to achieve with USP.

    Thank you in advance!
    Raphael

    Glad to help:

    1) I don’t understand the question, but if you can clarify and/or elaborate, I will try to provide accurate infos.

    2) There is not a built-in option to change the post type, but it is possible with a bit of code. Here is a tutorial with the steps.

    3) Unlike the pro version, the free version is limited to one extra custom field.

    4) The plugin does not include a date field, but the custom field that is provided can be used as a date field.

Let me know if I can provide any further infos.

I can’t share the link here (these forums allow only discussion of free plugins), but would be glad to send it via email. You can reach me anytime via the contact form at Plugin Planet, will be glad to answer any questions, etc.
