On our landing page site and all other pages with forms, we’re getting a nasty POST admin-ajax.php in our GT Metrix waterfall that’s adding a heft 1s-1.5s load time to our pages. Apparently, this problem is stemming from an “apbct_js_keys__get” and getting a JS key on the page.

Is there a way to disable or fix this so that there’s no unnecessary time being added to our pages?

Any solutions or insights would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

    Hello,

It seems that you have disabled the CleanTalk plugin. Could enable so we can make a test?

Hm… the CleanTalk plugin is running and activated and I haven’t made any exceptions for it not to load on that page — not sure why it is looking disabled on your end. Screenshots attached.

Could that be something related to the issue?

    Hello

We’ve tested your website via GT Metrix and didn’t get the “apbct_js_keys__get” in the results.

It looks like the option “Use static keys for JS check” is disabled. Please, enable this option, so we can make tests again.

Looks like the option was set to “auto” — I just switched it over to “on”.

Also just in case, on GT Metrix the main problem is the “POST admin-ajax.php” — I was told apparently this stems from the apbct_js_keys_get, but unsure of anything further than that.

    Thank you.

We’ll investigate this issue within 1-2 days.

    Please, wait.

    Hello,

I could recommend you to disable the option “Use AJAX for JavaScript check” (set it to “No”). If you do that it will be no additional AJAX-request.

But, please, notice that some conflicts might occur with some cache-plugins.

Contact us if you have questions.

Are they any other fixes that don’t run the risk of cache plugin conflicts? And what sort of conflicts might happen? Just so I know what to look out for if it does.

We’ll set it to “No” in the meantime, but if possible I’d like to see a more reliable fix.

    Thank you!

    Hello @jhawley
Unfortunately, this is the only solution so far.

Just disabled the “Use AJAX for JavaScript check”. So far, so good. No (apparent) conflicts — I’ll monitor closely and if anything seems out of order, I’ll be sure to open a new ticket.

    Thank you for the help.

    Hello,

We’ve made a special version on the WP rest API. It can improve site speed. You can try it.
