    Hello,

For three days I am trying to solve this problem. Please help me.

I am using the Kadence theme and everything seemed normal and even perfect until I recognized that post categories and product categories have no H1.

For products, I want the ideal style, which is:

    • Product category name: h1
    • Products under that category: h2

    For posts, I want:

    • Post categories as h1
    • Individual posts on post category page as h2.

I don’t care much about post categories because I will simply list all posts on the Blog page. But I need h1 headings for product categories.

H1 was also missing on all pages. I managed to add all the missing h1 to the pages. Individual Posts and individual products already have H1 and other headings. So, there is no problem with the other types of content.

But whatever I do, I cannot add h1 to product categories and post categories. Actually, I found some solutions on the internet but I couldn’t be sure if they would break my website.

As the owner of this theme, I hope you will direct me in the best way.

  • Hello,

You can add the page titles using customizer settings. For example, navigate to Appearance > Customize > Posts/Pages Layout > Archive Layout and enable the option to show the archive title. This option enables the title for the post category archives, which is an h1 tag. Without the option, you must add your h1 in the content any other way you want

Navigate to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog, and enable the titles to show the h1 for the product categories.

Thank you for the reply. However, these are the things that I already did. We don’t have many options. They are already displayed on the live page. When I check the headings on some tools including MOZ, I see missing h1 errors on only categories (both post categories and product categories).

Making the titles visible on the archive layout and product catalog add the title on the live page. There is no problem there. However, on search engines, these category pages are still displayed without a title.

After checking /public_html/wp-content/themes/kadence/template-parts/content/archive.php I could not find anything.

Then I edited the category page and changed the SEO title. I changed SEO title by deleting “page” and inserting a variable of “term”. Now the page title is displayed and there is H1. I solved this problem. I wrote these because I know there are people out there trying to manage this.

You can close this ticket. thank you.
