Post Article Excessive Views Monthly?

  • I have a simple blog post with (one) 1 topical comment that is has, as of today 5/22, 578 visits – the general blog feed (feedburner) is showing 493 visits – data from server logs. I am trying to figure out why this “post” is getting approx. 27 visits a day? The post is pulling 22 megs of data monthly. Not a lot, but curious.

    Recaptcha is installed on the blog site.

    Any thoughts or experience with this.

  • Analytics software would be the best to see where the hits are coming from (ie search engines or referral links). I doubt this is all direct traffic. Plus those would not be unique visits. Also, check google for “link:<insertyourdomainnamehere.com>” to see what sites are linking to you. The traffic could be coming from there.

    Don’t argue it though, install ads and reap the benefits of the traffic ??
