• Sorry, but I cannot find any suggestion for this (simple?) topic: I need to post an article written years ago by a deceased Author. Mine is a literary blog: https://www.nuove-vie.it/ . I will write phisically the post (of course) but I would like that it reports the late author name. How can this be accomplished without inserting a fake author between the users?

Mmm! I suppose this could be a solution. But I’m astonished that the system does not provide a mean to do this.
Imagine to have an Edgar Allan Poe short novel to publish: do you think it’s logical sign it as “John Doe”, or whatever? Or pretending Edgar Allan Poe be a blog user!?

I have a drop down menu box with selections of whom i want to be the author of this post. These various ppl are all me, one is my real name one is a blog admin name and one a nick name. I think it’s because each registered user i did i have set each user as admin.

Not sure if this is a viable solution for you.

Understood. Giving credit where it is due should not require being an imposter in order to avoid missing it altogether. In the case of my own sites where anonymity is desired and well-guarded, any necessary credits are simply added either within or at the ends of posts.
