Post Box when using Url

  • Hi, @5starcruises. If you’re simply placing the URL all by itself in the post, then WordPress treats it as an embed, and pulls in the content of that post to display it. (See also New Embeds Feature in WordPress 4.4 on why this is the case now.)

    So, if you want the URL to that post to be an actual link instead, then you’d need to also include the HTML necessary to make it into one, either by using the Insert Link button on the editing toolbar, or by typing in the HTML yourself, e.g.:

    <a href="https://example.com">Example</a>
