    Hi
I would need to integrate a post carousel like this one in my home page that is currently based on Elementor. As Elementor is not compatible with AMP, I’m looking for a similar feature to change Elementor with any other editor, such as Gutemberg, but that includes a post slider like this one and AMP compatible.

Do you have any suggestions ?
    Thanks
    Enrico

  • Hi @enricobt,

Thanks for getting in contact with us, While I didn’t check the Elementor post slider, I suspect it may not be fully AMP compatible. You can however use the amp-carousel component to add your own scrolling content. It may be possible to programmatically make the same Elementor slider work in AMP using the amp-bind component.

Alternatively, you can use the plugins validation tool to allow any invalid AMP content related to the Elementor post slider to function if you wish, by “keeping” any errors highlighted. Just be aware that any URLs featuring this post slider won’t be fully AMP valid.

One other option is to disable AMP on any page or post featuring your post slider.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

    Hi (@fellyph)
Actually, I already had to disable AMP from my home page, because of Elementor incompatibility. But I don’t think that this is the best solution because of lack of a home AMP version. I would like to develop a simpler home page AMP fully compatible but still I would like to keep post carousel in. Do you know if there is any plugin that I would use, such as smart slider o any other solution?
    Regards

    Hi @enricobt,

For carousel, an alternative is using the native gallery Gutenberg block and set as a carousel with the AMP plugin or using the carousel from jetpack. Another alternative is using an AMP compatible theme on reader mode that has a carousel functionality at the home page.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you require any further assistance.
