Post categories have disappeared.

  • Since updating to 4.2, I’ve noticed that all of the categories associated with my posts have disappeared. Under “All Categories,” the list is totally empty. A few of them still appear under “Most Used.” All of my posts are now listed as “Uncategorized.” The HTML pages for each category still works, however.

    Is this a database problem, or a WP problem? Thanks for your help.

  • Try deactivating your plugins and switching to a default theme to see if that fixes the problem. IF so, reverse your steps one by one to find which one is causing that.
