When the Kinetic Posts is configured with Post Type: Posts and Taxonomy: Tags, the setting Showing Post Category does not display the Post Category. If you configure Taxonomy: Categories, the Post Category does appear as expected. The same issue applies to Post Type: Pages. As Pages and Tags posts may also have a Category, the display thereof should be included.

While it is possible that a Page or Tag (Post) has multiple Categories and this may cause a display issue, that is the responsibility of the user not the plugin to decide whether to display (alternatively, the first Category could be displayed only).

    Hi,

Right now Kinetic Posts taxonomy queries are available for either tags or categories.

We will further increase the complexity of the query in the future releases.

    Thanks!

Hi. I understand, but this is not the issue (though I am looking forward to more advanced queries).

The issue is the setting Showing Post Category does not display the Post Category when Post Type = Posts and Taxonomy = Tags.

Oh I see now. I was able to reproduce this issue. By the way this seems like the issue only happens in the editor, but works on front end.

We’ll push a fix for this with our next release.

    Thanks for reporting!
