• I tend to edit my posts often after I publish them. For the second time in recent weeks, I’ve found that I’ve gone to edit a post, only to find out afterwards that the bottom part of the post — which I hadn’t touched — had been cut off.

What’s happening is that when I click on the “edit” link in the Dashboard, the whole post doesn’t load into the editing window. So, when I resave it, I’m re-saving it without the cut-off text.

Has anyone else experienced anything remotely similar? Does anyone know why this would be happening?

I’m running WP 2.0.3 and editing the posts on a Firefox 1.5 browser. I also have the rich-text editor turned off.

Let me propose one possibility, and see whether anyone else thinks it’s the likely cause.

Since the Preview window on the editing page loads a version of the blog, and sometimes gets hung while waiting for various elements, such as flickr photos or sitemeter, perhaps the full content of the post isn’t appearing in the editing screen before I click “save.”
