• I have taken over the blog work for my company, and am incredibly new to this. I added a sticky widget, and it was working okay, but now when I scroll down the post content jumps to the left only when the left side bar is fixed with the widget I installed.

  • It looks like this may be because when that sidebar “sticks,” it’s being pulled out of the page area. Before it was taking up room and pushing the main column over to the right but once it sticks it stops taking up room so the main column goes left (you can think of everything as always trying to shift left and up, unless there’s another object or code keeping it from doing so).

You’ve got some javascript errors going on on your site, which may be causing something not to fire that should be firing that would prevent that from happening.

How did you set up the sticky widgets? Plugin or…?

Yes, the plugin is here: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/q2w3-fixed-widget/

It was working, and I updated all plugins and this began happening.

You should probably start by deactiving the plugins you updated and then activating them one at a time until you find the one(s) causing you problems. It looks like you’ve got at least one in there that is changing how jQuery is used (different from the WordPress defaults), and it’s causing conflicts and errors. Unfortunately I can’t tell any more specifically from looking at the site where the exact errors are.

    Thank you.
