Post Count Quadrupling or More

Anyone?? It’s still happening.

Are you in a position to switch back to your older theme for a day and see if the counts are normal?

I would really prefer not to, too much involved and it is an active blog. If it is being possibly caused by the theme, what should I look for?

Firstly check if it is all the posts? Then check if the tracker code (search activate_counter) appears more than once on the page. If it’s only triggered after a theme change, then that might be the likely culprit

If this is part of a wordpress multisite installation, possibly you are experiencing the issue here https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/some-posts-have-total-views-stuck-at-zero-0/ where the views from another blog on the same site (but with same post number) are logged to your counter?

Roderick. Nope. It’s not a multisite blog, but thanks. For now I had to just get rid of the plugin. I may try a different one.
