On monday november 1st, I wrote a POST about the upcoming changes on MYSPACE, including some video links.

Today, checking my siteh https://www.idmagazine.com.mx —wich runs on wordpress— I found that the POST was erased. So the thing is, how come the post disappeared? if I’am the only one with administrator access. The rest of the team has an Author role.

I would really appreciate taking attention to the matter. Cause it may occur to us that you might have some serious security issues.

A security issue that hit only 1 post is highly improbable. Have you checked your database? Have you tried repairing your database?

We did that, and no clue whatsoever of that particular POST. We even noticed some people from our fan base retweeting the POST and —of course—cheking the links now they all redirect to the 404 page from our site.

    We are clueless.

Who was credited with the post? Authors can delete posts that belong to them.

I write it myself. I’m administrator. I was sure that Authors can only mess with their own posts, right?

And, by the way… there is not even a trace, on our server, of the images used in the POST nor the media section.

The complete content of the POST was deleted.

    Is it in the trash?

No, there is nothing in the trash. We even checked the database manually and no signs of the data especifically from that POST. It′s there a way to check somekind of activity log?

Not … really. You’ll have to check your server logs at that point. Maybe there was there a database rollback?
